*** Message from the President of the Algerian-American Association of Greater Washington

MAHF, in collaboration with the Echiffa Association of Medea, the Worldwide Algerian Healthcare Alliance (WAHA), and the Algerian-American of Greater Washington (AAAGW) urges the Algerian diaspora and friends of Algeria to donate generously to acquire oxygen concentrators. The large majority of regional hospitals in Algeria are in dire need of oxygen concentrators to fight the more contagious and deadlier COVID-19 “delta” variant.

We’ve set a goal to donate 100 oxygen concentrators, requiring approximately $70,000. See estimate.

New Update: You will find attached the current brochure of the puchased machine and the first disbursement of $17,500 (1st wire transfer) (invoice1), Plus $1,250 for additional shipment (2nd wire transfer)(invoice2).

Please donate generously and ensure mentioning “O2 concentrators” as it is the default in PayPal.

For your information, please note:

1.    A vendor has been identified and an estimate has been given. see file attached.

2.    We have been promised that the delivery will take a week after ordering.

3.    For maximum use, these oxygen concentrators will be rented for free to patients after their hospitalization.  So until complete remission, the machine will be returned and cleaned to be re-used for another patient. Our local partner Echiffa of Medea will be administering these oxygen concentrators and we will be signing a contract with them for 10 years to have  “ un droit de regard”.

4.    Also, in light of the recent directive by the authority regarding the import of oxygen concentrators by non-profit organizations, our local partner will apply for the authorization as soon as it is possible.
